Things To Do Today: Blog.

Does anyone NOT know how much I LOVE LISTS?!!?

Oh my goodness! I joke that even my lists have lists. I think in lists. I often dream in list form (really). Everything in my life is on a list. Everything!

Now, I must confess that most of MY lists are in my head. The things that I do everyday or every week are on a running list in my noggin. I rarely forget those tasks. I do, however, often miss the extras. When RedDaddy asks me to do something that is out of the routine, I MUST write it down! I can not tell you the number of times I have had to confess, "I forgot!" And, oh man! How I hate having to tell him that!!

Probably as much as I hate hearing it from 5 females I know and love! The daily routine of each of my girls is also running through my head...all day...every day. BUT. I know how hard it is for them to remember, so...

Can you even begin to imagine my delight at finding this site? No. I don't think you can! Mostly because you probably don't know how crazy hard I find creating a simple, stinking, spreadsheet! Anyone else in my boat? Well, then you're going to LOVE DLTK...trust me.

They allow you to create custom, printable chore charts, with the cutest themes...for FREE. Yes, ma'am, they do. The list (They have lists on their list-making site!!! Just Heavenly, I tell you!) of characters and themes is super for the youngsters. The theme, image, title, jobs, even font and text color...all your choice. And Chore Charts are only one of several printable forms they offer. Go there and create away!

So far, Coral chose a frog, Rose picked a Princess (go figure!), and Scarlet went with Thomas the Tank Engine. The older ones are mostly at the point of having their own mental lists running...how cool is that?! I need to see the list in order to keep everyone accountable. And in order to run a tight ship, accountability is key.

One last tip: Make your charts reuseable. Laminate each child's chart, then use dry erase markers to check off tasks as they are completed. Or, slip them in page protectors, place them into your Household Notebook, and do the same.

 Happy Listing!!
