Okay, not really. But Happy New Beginnings!
I love a clean slate. In fact, RedDaddy and I were talking about that very thing last night. I'm with Anne Shirley, "Isn't it wonderful to know that tomorrow is always fresh with no mistakes in it?!"
I began my soul nourishing journey on Wednesday. Ironically, that was also RedDaddy's first day working from home. Clean slates all around!
January 1 of Simple Abundance has me chewing on this: "Write down your most private aspirations. Those longings you have kept tucked away until the time sees right. Trust that now is the time. Ask the questions."
January 2 had me mesmerized with this: "Do not now seek the answers which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them"[Rainer Maria Rilke]..."The answers to your questions will come only after you know which ones are worth asking. Wait. Live you questions. Then ask."
I must admit, my first response was Really? Trust that now is the time. How can I trust that? What if I had read this three years ago? Would THAT have been the time? If I put this book away for another five years; will it be time then? How can I trust that NOW is the time?
There are sixty-nine references to "season" in the King James Bible. Sixty-nine. And the word "time" is used seven hundred three times. 703. Hhmmm.... I'm not going to do your Bible study for you, but I will tell you that there are many indications that God has this season of my life (and yours) mapped out pretty well. If we will just allow Him to guide us, we can have confidence that now IS the time for something great!
Now, this "live the questions" thing I won't even pretend to understand. But I am pressing on, waiting patiently for the answers. It seems all I can really do IS live the questions in my life, until the answers show up!
Intrigued yet? Stay tuned.
