Well, thanks to RedDaddy's sister, "Bob" has a new name: Petrie. As in the little pteranodon in "The Land Before Time" (Though there were 13 videos all told, I honestly only ever watched the first one.)
Since our Petrie has his wings clipped and can therefore not fly, I think it fits.
I loved that movie when it first came out. I was working in a preschool and we played it every afternoon for the school-aged kids. So many cute lines.
This clip is one of my favorites. The way Petrie takes ownership of caring for Littlefoot's treasure is charming:

And Petrie is a good name indeed. I think I still have all the Land Before Time stuffed animals somewhere..
