Just to catch up I'm going to have to do a list....yuck!
1.) My new weight-loss accountability partner and I are doing great! I've only lost .2 lbs, but I'm also on my period, so there's really no point in getting on the scale. I am however, eating well, WALKING (that is honestly the first intentional exercise I've gotten in at least two years!), drinking more water, and overall feeling great!
2.) I got some new reading glasses. They're spiffy; I'll have to take a picture when I have make-up on and my hair is actually styled. Oh, and they are black, not pink...okay, so they're pink on the inside of the frames. You didn't honestly think I'd buy glasses without pink on them, did you? Silly, girl.
3.) My garden is going great guns.
(That is some very lovely sweet basil!)
Except that my pumpkin blossoms keep falling off. I thought one of my little ones had plucked them, and I read them the riot-act, only to find two more on the ground the next morning. No one had been out there overnight, so I guess they fell off on their own. The strange part to me, is that I can't see any bud or anything on the end of the stalk where the blossom was. So, how is a pumpkin going to ever grow on that vine?! Anyone who has ever grown pumpkins want to weigh-in on this one?
4.) I have a wonderful husband! No spectacular happening to report, just thought I'd tell y'all, he's wonderful. He is constantly on the quest to improve his character and it is so inspiring to me!! I love you, RedDaddy {{kiss}}.
5.) We heard a good message Sunday on marriage. I repeat, it was a good message, I don't want anyone to think I'm criticizing the sermon; however, I was struck by how few sermons I have heard about true biblical submission. We hear a lot these days about men loving their wives as Christ loves His church...as well we should!...but so often, it seems to me, pastors shy away from boldly preaching the need for wives to submit to their own husbands. I'm sure it's difficult for a man to preach to women on submission without coming across as chauvinistic. How fortunate for me, I'm not a man: Be looking for a post on a blog near you! :-)

6.) I received a very unique award from MamaHenClucks this weekend. It is so special it deserves a post all its own. So I'm going to work on that for the end of this week.
7.) That's about it.
Except that God is good. Every minute of every day, He is good. Circumstances are often not good, the enemy is certainly not good, people can be quite NOT GOOD, but MY GOD IS ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, 100% GOOD ALL THE TIME!!
Just thought you should know!

Picture! Picture! Picture! I want to see those new readers. And that reminds me, have we considered "before" pics?
i am currently going through weight loss myself and know what a struggle it is!! don't be discouraged and keep it up!!!
That was a great sermon wasn't it? I know what you mean about being submissive. I am so glad that I am married to a man that I enjoy being submissive to :)
Love your garden
